My damaged self

Pain,

comes in all shapes and form,

the poison,

the chronic disease I have learnt to live with.

The void within
is something I welcome
heart and soul.
What could be potentially incapacitating for the heart
is nothing but a dull ache now.

I've learnt to keep alive by taking in shallow breaths.
